Can ya get a rounded butt cap on a tear drop handle & is it a extra option?

I like Nickel silver fittings, I think The Good Captain is correct first we need to get a handle on our furniture

The cap in my pic is rounded. I prefer the rounded caps myself. N S furniture would look great. The teardrop handle feels great in the hand BTW.

butt caps

Chief,
It is not so much of getting a butt cap on a "teardrop" handle. It is more to the fact of having the ability to order a butt cap on a model #7. The answer is "yes". Butt caps are available on a model #7. If we were ordering a "commando-shaped", "single finger grip", "Border patrol" or "teardrop" handle it would be the model that would predicate a butt cap or not. Model #24's, for example are made with a short tang and cannot be ordered with a butt cap.
Before we discuss the teardrop..we need to decide "what" we are going to be dealing with for a handle. If we go with an exotic piece of wood, we may want to shape a handle that will give us the best "look" at that wood. Just a thought. Micarta? Yeah: Just like Byrdguy's example of a maroon micarta handle. Teardrop or not...It isn't as though a piece of maroon micarta is going to lose any cool "grain" look by making one shape of handle over another. I know you want a teardrop, Chief..believe me..everybody knows you want a teardrop. BUT: What do you want on "this" build? AND everybody else, of course. To be continued....Best, The "Captain"

I don't like wood handles, so I vote for micarta.

Talking

Chief,
I think that the only teardrop that you may see....will be in your eye, when you Don't win this knife. Isn't it Jeff's turn to win???

No matter who wins, this will be another Great build!

Roll Call!!

O.K., CRew,
I need a "roll call" on the following handle options. We can decide the rest later on. We already know that we have decided on a Model #7,with a 5" blade, standard grind and stainless steel. Next choice is really more of a "narrowing it down" vote than a final choice:
A) Leather
B) Stag
C) Randall's walnut
D) Randall's maple
E) Randall's ironwood
F) Randall's ziricote
G) Randall's rosewood
H) Black micarta
I) Green canvas micarts
J) Antique gold micarta
K)Maroon micarta
L) Capt's buckeye burl
M) Capt's cocobola
N) Capt's Black english walnut
O) Capt's box elder
P) Capt's maple burl
Q) Capt's orange G-10
R) Capt's green tenite
S) Capt's cherry micarta

So terribly sorry ya'll do not have any choices!! Good luck!! You're gonna need it! Best, Captain Chris Stanaback

I vote for Captain's Green Tenite.
Since I am probably alone in that choice and my vote won't count, then my "real" choice is
Captain's Cherry Micarta or Maroon Micarta.
(Last two with aluminum and RED spacers.)

Ironwood

Still would like Ironwood! I have gotten some really nice chunks of Ironwood from the shop the last few months. I'm on an Ironwood kick and when I win this knife it will help me to my goal of one of each model possible in Ironwood. Yea, I like Ironwood.
