Recently Aquired Randalls

As promised, here are some pictures of the last 2 Randalls that I've added to my collection: model 1 with 8 inch carbon steel blade, stag handle with right hand finger grooves. I believe it's from the early to late 90's. 2nd Randall is a Tom Clinton special. Enjoy

Seems my pictures are a little too big to post together so I'm posting separately.

Thanks alot. The stag on that #1 is terrific! I really prefer amber stag and, although the finger grips cut some away, there is still plenty of it there!
The "TC" looks like laminated birch....2-tone, if you will. Great additions: Good luck with them. Best, The "Captain"

Capt, I much perfer the polished stag, but the Amber is starting to grow on me. It's funny about the TC. It's the same one I posted on the RKS site and the responses concerning the wood used for the handle were funny. I was contacted by the person I purchased it from, he's also a RKS member and you know him, I can PM you and let you know who he is if you want. He told me the wood was dealer supplied Cocobolo. But who knows?

Thanks for posting your latest two Randalls, Dan (Bladerunner67)!

Don't worry about your multiple forum identities. I just hope you can remember your passwords.

For what it's worth, I think your Tom Clinton Special handle is Cocobolo. In any case, they're both very cool knives,

Cheers!

David

David,

Thanks, I've made it simple. All passwords are the same, so all I have to remember is one I'm going to have to take a couple more pictures of another Randall I picked up a couple of months ago. Ivory handled 4-6.

Dan thanks for the pictures. That numero uno is outstanding. Do the grips fit you OK? Very nice stag as everyone else said as well. Lots of depth and character! I even agree with them so, something must be amiss. Fingergrip stag ages beautifully by the way.

Everyone needs a TC special no matter what the handle material is. It is a very cool knife.

Seuss, it's funny, the knife feels like it was custom made for my hand. It's the most comfortable knife I've handled that has finger grooves. You're right about the TC, any handle material is fine with me.
