First Knife
I just finished my first knife. It is ground from a sample of talonite I recieved, and has carbon fiber handle sclaes. It is far from perfect, but I learned a lot along the way. Overall it is roughly 1"x2", very small. I plan to get a sheath made so I can carry it on my key ring.
I know these pictures aren't the best, but its the best I could do with my crummy digital cam. Feel free to criticize my work, I know I do. My girnds need work, and my pins aren't in line properly. But overall I am fairly happy with this little knife, and I plan to get lots of use out of it. Hopefully my next one will be better. __________________ Erik |

Man, that's really tiny! Better be careful or you'll end up known as a miniature maker.
The pics aren't really bad but you might want to crop them to cut out the large areas that aren't important around the subject. The pictures will load faster that way and it looks better. What do you mean you 'plan to have a sheath made'? You're a knifemaker, aren't you? Make your own sheath! Seriously, all you need is a $4 sheet of kydex and a good hair dryer or a paint peeling gun to heat it with....... Last edited by Ray Rogers; 01-10-2004 at 09:09 AM. |

That would be a great mouse skinner!! I'm with Ray. Make your own sheaths. It is almost as fun as making the knives.
