The Greatest Generation 6 June 1944
Sixty-eight years ago, in the early morning hours of June 6, 1944, British, American, and Canadian forces commenced Operation Neptune, the Allied invasion of Normandy.
During the night, over 5,300 ships and 11,000 planes had crossed the English Channel and landed on the beaches of Normandy. 24,000 airborne troops, 160,000 British, American and Canadian troops and 195,700 Allied naval and merchant navy personnel successfully executed the largest amphibious invasion in the history of the world.... and Randall Made knives were there. |
