The recent passing of Rhett Stidham (1941 -2011) must be a very sad loss for his wife Janie, his family and many friends. It also marks the end of a long and interesting chapter in the world of Randall knife collecting.

Rhett founded the premier club for those fascinated with the world of Randall Made Knives, The Randall Knife Society, which he started in 1989 and presided over for more than twenty years.

An enthusiastic cutlery collector himself, Rhett was extremely knowledgeable about not only Randalls but also the creations of many other well known knife-makers.

Rhett fought a courageous battle with cancer, and will be sorely missed by all.

My sincere condolences go out to Janie and his family.

David

Thanks, David. IMO Rhett has done more for Randall collectors in the last 20 years than any other single person. Along with Pete and Tom he is another Randall icon that graced our lives and will be sadly missed.

Respectfully,

Ron

Hi Billy,

It has been a while. Great to hear from you. I'm doing fine / thanks.

I doubt if I'll be talking to Janie anytime soon, but there may be guys who read this thread that will and can pass the word.

Warm regards,

Ron
