2 new Damascus Railroad Spike knives

These knives are made from actual railroad spikes with different steels forged in.

This spike knife has a 3 1/2" swept tip blade, 7 1/2" total length. The blade has a core of 1084 high carbon steel sandwiched between damascus, san mai style. The handle is twisted with the rises and head of the spike mirror polished. The knife is shown with a "basket weave" pattern pouch sheath by Tess.
Price, with leather sheath: $200.00


This spike knife has a 5 1/4" dirk style blade, 9 1/2" total length. The blade has a core of 1084 high carbon steel sandwiched between twist damascus, san mai style. The handle is twisted with the rises and head of the spike mirror polished. The knife is shown with a "mule's foot" pattern pouch sheath by Tess.
Price, with leather sheath: $200.00

You know there's going to be a 'railroad spike knife contest' at this year's Batson Bladesmithing Symposium & Knife Show (the 16th annual) to be held April 2-4 at the Tannehill Ironworks 40 miles from Birmingham. You should go and enter. It's a long way from PA but it's also a long way from CO and we're going. I've heard it's really a terrific time.
And your spike knives are certainly the most interesting ones I've seen - heck, you'd probably win! Good press never hurts......

Impressive, Brings a whole new twist to Railroad spike knives.
