Down..but not out!!
I totally agree with several posts recently made here. It is quite dead over here..."AND".. more posts and threads need be started and followed through on by the populus in order to generate interest!
Seuss: I am frustrated when the "winner" of one of our builds sell the winning knife on eBay, but, at the end of day, it is that person's knife to do with as they see fit. Not what "I", nor you, Seuss, would do, but that's life.
Gary: It was great seeing you at the Bama show this weekend. Perhaps you can post a couple of pics of your Randall "treasures" you extracted from me! That would be some cool eye candy!
I have challenged everyone on this forum to participate and come up with ideas and threads, but it does not happen very much. Part of the problem in comparing this forum to other forums, which have a great deal many more folks participating on them, is elementary.."Less folks: Less ideas" and therefore less to talk about!
O.K.; fair enough. But why not concentrate on "quality" posts and posts that folks can feel comfortable participating in and are pationate about? How about that? If not the Randall "builds" then whatever ya'll feel "trips your trigger"!
I think , in contradiction to Seuss, that threads on the "other" forum are not copycat topics a good deal of the time. There are a lot of interesting things to talk about. Having said that, there are "bound" to be repeats..It's just that simple. I have sponsored "builds" on both forums, too be sure. Other topics are different on different forums.
I know this. A week or two at a time, without something new being added to a forum is too long. I think we can all come up with some "tidbit" every few days and interject it into a thread. I hope so anyway. Let's try!
One thing this forum has that no other has is "MANNERS"! For the most part folks are much more civil over here. That alone is worth giving this forum a look, a "try" and the benefit of a doubt. As I have said before: "Come on in, the water's fine!" Best, The "Captain"
